Criteo

What is Criteo?

Criteo is a Retargeting Platform that operates globally in over 30 markets around the world and is headquartered in Paris, France.

Criteo is primarily used by eCommerce and online retailers for Retargeting / ReMarketing, serving personalized online display advertisements to consumers who have previously visited the advertiser’s website. When creating an advertising plan, programmatic advertising pros and cons should be taken into account. It offers several advantages, including targeted reach, real-time optimization, cost efficiency, and enhanced insights. Businesses should be conscious of the restrictions, though, such as the lack of control over ad placements and privacy issues. Advertisers can use retargeting ideas to boost their campaigns and drive more conversions.

Retargeting vs Prospecting Differences

The difference between prospecting and retargeting comes down to the audience being targeted. Retargeting focuses on customers who have already interacted with a business, whereas prospecting focuses on new customers who have never done so. Because it targets those who are already familiar with a brand and have expressed interest in their goods or services, retargeting is more successful in generating conversions.

Criteo is integrated with us via our Appnexus SSP as well as via Prebid / Header Bidding through Rubicon Project, Index Exchange and PubMatic. Depending on the SSP integration, we support the following Media Types: Display, Mobile and Native. We support both Deals and Open Exchange buying via Criteo.
